十溴二苯醚与Sb2O3对EPDM/PP的阻燃化研究
Study on flame retardancy of decabromodiphenyl oxide and antimony trioxide in EPDM/PP
【摘要】 用氧指数、力学性能、热失重分析方法研究了十溴二苯醚(FR-10)以及与Sb2O3配合使用对三元乙丙橡胶/聚丙烯(EPDM/PP)阻燃耐热性和力学性能的影响。结果表明,单独使用FR-10或Sb2O3对EPDM/PP有一定的阻燃作用,但效果不明显;FR-10与Sb2O3配合使用具有明显的协同阻燃作用,阻燃效果较好。阻燃剂的加入会使共混体系的力学性能下降。加入FR-10及其与Sb2O3的配合物虽然降低了EPDM/PP的起始失重温度,但不影响其正常使用。
【Abstract】 The effect of decabromodiphenyl oxide (FR-10) and FR-10/antimony trioxide (Sb2O3) on flame retardancy and heat resistance of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM)/propylene (PP) was studied via analyses of oxygen index, mechanical property and thermogravimetry. The results show that single FR-10 or Sb2O3 can exert flame retardant function on EPDM/PP to a certain degree, but the effectiveness is not significant. The application of combining FR-10 and Sb2O3 possesses obvious synergetic effect and exhibit better flame retardancy. The introduction of FR-10 causes the blending system to deteriorate its mechanical properties. Though the addition of FR-10 and Sb2O3 may lower the initial weight loss temperature of EPDM/ PP, but the normal application of the blending system is not influenced.
