【Abstract】 The elevated sex ratio at birth in China is a serious problem that has been troubling Chinese government and academic circles in population studies. A Cohor analysis of the data coming from the latest two census of Hebei Province shows that the true level of sex ratios at birth in the 1990s is fairly close to the acknowledged normal level. Underreporting of girls has been the main explanation for the higher-than-normal sex ratios among the reported live births in Hebei Province.更多还原
