【Abstract】 Banana bunchy top virus(BBTV) has 18～20 nm isometric virions containing at least six circular ssDNA components. The genome of BBTV was characterized by the presence of three conserved regions:the open reading frame (ORF), the stem-loop common region(CR-SL) and the major common region(CR-M). Specific functions have been assigned to four of the BBTV gene products: DNA-1 encodes the replication intiviate protein(REP);And DNA-3 encodes the viral coat protein(CP); And DNA-4 encodes the movement protein(MP); And The gene product of DNA-5 is an Rb-binging-like protein.
