长周期光纤光栅光谱控制及其在EDFA增益平坦中的应用
Control of LPG′s Spectral Structure and Its Application in EDFA Gain-flattening Equalizer
【摘要】 从理论上分析了长周期光纤光栅光谱的控制方法 ,并且进行了实验研究 结果表明 ,选择合适周期的振幅模板 ,通过控制曝光量和光栅长度 ,可以实现对长周期光纤光栅的中心波长、峰值和带宽的控制 用此技术制作的四个不同中心波长、峰值和带宽的长周期光纤光栅级联 ,实现了EDFA在 35 .6nm范围内增益波动小于± 0 .6dB
【Abstract】 The spectral structure of long period gratings(LPGs) and its controlling methods are examined theoretically and experimentally. Through selecting mask with proper period, controlling the UV exposure and changing the length of the grating, the resonant wavelength, transmission peak and bandwidth of the LPG can be controlled. Using this technique, four different LPGs are fabricated and a gain-flattened EDFA with a gain variation of ±0.6 dB over a bandwidth of 36.5 nm is achieved.
