Yb∶YAG晶体的晶胞参量及Yb3+分凝系数的研究
A Study on Lattice Parameters of Yb3+ -doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnets and Distribution Coefficients of Yb3+
【摘要】 应用提拉法生长出不同Yb3+ 浓度的Yb3xY3( 1-x) Al5O12 晶体 Yb3+ 离子的分凝系数 1是 1 .0 8±0 .0 1 ,与Yb3+ 离子掺杂浓度无关 研究了Yb3xY3( 1-x) Al5O12 晶体的晶胞参量 ,推导出联系晶胞参量、密度与Yb3+ 离子掺杂浓度的关系方程式
【Abstract】 Recently, Yb 3+ doped solid state materials are attractively used as gain media for high efficiency, high power laser. Among the numerous Yb 3+ doped crystals, Yb∶YAG has many other attractive characteristics such as high thermal conductivity, excellent physical and chemical properties of the host material. The trivalent ytterbium ion′s simple [Xe] 4f 13 electronic structure allows for no excited state absorption, upconversion or low concentration quenching even at high doping concentration of Yb 3+ ions. The lattice parameters of Yb∶YAG crystals with different Yb 3+ ion concentrations and the distribution coefficients of Yb 3+ were investigated. The results show that the distribution coefficient of Yb 3+ is a fixed numerical value, and has little relation with Yb 3+ concentration. The lattice parameters decrease and their densities increase with increasing of Yb concentration and the related equations were given.
