【Abstract】 It is commonly believed that,among different countries,there is a positive correlation between the economic development and the standard of social welfare.True as it is,it should never be applied absolutely.Different preferences of various countries on the issue of social welfare are influenced by many other factors in addition to the factor of economic development.Comparing the social welfare systems in Sweden and America should be looked at from the perspectives of social structure,history,and values.This article holds that differences in the above mentioned domains play significant roles in the diversities of the social welfare systems of Sweden and America.更多还原
