【Abstract】 A welding fixture computer-aided design (WFCAD) system is developed and the system menu and user interface dialog blocks of WFCAD is integrated into the software Pro/Engineer to make the (user’s) interface clearer. Then, the designing procedure of first type of welding fixture-lever-joint rig is taken as an illustration to discuss the development of utility programs with the help of user’s saddlebag Pro/Toolkit of Pro/Engineer.
