【Abstract】 Eco-tourism is a new developing tourist activity system with strong vitality and abundant intension in the world. Domestic and international different scholars have different understandings and explanations about the meaning of eco-tourism. Till now, the definition of " eco-tourism " concept was not unified yet. This text puts forward the concept of eco-tourism from the angles of sustainable development and community participates in tourist industry on the basis of analyzing other scholars’, understanding and practices to the eco-tourism. The author takes the concept that protecting local nature ,history and culture resources,and offering high-quality travel experience to tourist are not only three goals, but also three basic demands or conditions of eco-tourism.
