【Abstract】 The authors of the paper conducted a grass-root survey in arid regions of Gansu Province on environmental awareness based on five aspects: environmental knowledge, the accesses to environmental knowledge, assessment of environmental conditions, attitudes towards environmental protection and environmental protection behaviors.
