【Abstract】 The success in the development of river-side areas often depends on the inheriting of his-tory and the providing of new growth point to thecity.The idea that should be followed in the planningof the riverside ancient Gunan Street in Lihe of Yixingis as follows:while seeking the rules of spatialarrangement,overall improvement should be madeon the space in the ancient riverside street;mean-while places should be provided for the demon-strate and protection of the traditional handicraftindustry and the mode of river course transportation;the strategy of sustainable development should alsobe adhered to so as to reach the goal of real eco-logical balance .更多还原
