Er-La共掺杂光纤特性的研究
Studies on Characteristics of Er-La Co-doped Fiber
【摘要】 采用纤芯Er、La及Al共掺的方法,制备了高掺杂浓度的Er La共掺光纤(ELDF),其吸收谱和发射谱比常规Er Al光纤都有明显的展宽。测试其在C 波段超短长度实现了9.0dB/m的增益,NF小于5dB;L 波段输出功率大于17.5dBm,NF小于5.5。ELDF放大器(ELDFA)产生的四波混频(FWM)等非线性效应比常规掺Er光纤放大器(EDFA)有较大改善,实现高输出功率,低NF和低非线性。
【Abstract】 We fabricated Er-La co-doped fiber(ELDF) with high concentration by co-doped Er,La and Al ions in core.Absorption spectrum and emission spectrum of the ELDF are obviously broadened in comparison with convertional EDF.9.0 dB/m gain and under 5.0 dB NF are achieved at C-band,the output power and NF are respectively over 17.5 dBm and under 5.5 dB at L-band.The amplification performances and nonlinearties of the ELDF are better than those of conventional EDF at C-band and L-band.We demonstrated that ELDFA provided with high output power,low NF and low nonlinearities.
