新型波导多层光存储原理和实验
Principles and Experiments of the Waveguide Multilayer Optical Memory
【摘要】 一种新型的波导多层存储器(WMM)由多层平面光波导叠合构成,利用波导缺陷记录数据,通过缺陷的光散射效应读出数据,并利用波导对光的空间约束作用实现层选址。制作了10层WMM模型器件,并给出了数据读出原理性实验结果。结果表明:WMM的层内信噪比大,层间信号串扰小,是一种很有潜力的三维光存储技术。
【Abstract】 A novel kind of waveguide multilayer memory (WMM) device consists of a stuck of slab optical waveguides.In WMM,the data are recorded in the form of waveguide defects and are read out by using the light scatter effect of the waveguide defects.Experimental result with a 10 layer device demonstrated that the WMM is a very promising three-dimensional optical storage technology possessing the advantages of the high SNR in the layer and the small cross talk between the layers.
