20年生加勒比松种源试验研究
Study on 20-year Provenance Test of Caribbean Pine
【摘要】 198 4年在广东雷州半岛遂溪进行加勒比松种源试验 ,共有 3个变种 ,9个种源 ,用当地湿地松作对照。 2 0年生种源试验林生长结果表明 ,正种加勒比松可在我国热带及南亚热带沿海地区发展 ,它生长快 ,保存率高 ,干形通直 ,无严重病虫害 ,抗风力较强 ,适宜在沿海贫瘠沙地及砖红壤上生长。洪都拉斯加勒比松不适合在我国热带沿海地区发展 ,其幼树病虫害严重 ,2 0年生保存率仅 19% ,抗风力也较差 ,但采用生长较快、表现较好的波布顿种源 ,可在热带及南亚热带内陆地区发展 ,其中生长快的优良单株 ,可选用作杂交松的亲本。巴哈马加勒比松生长与正种加勒比松相似 ,干形通直 ,但原产巴哈马珊瑚岛上 ,为浅根性树种 ,抗风力差 ,只能在我国南亚热带少台风地区的中性土壤发展。湿地松生长远较加勒比松差 ,但抗风力强 ,干形通直 ,木材密度高 ,可用作杂交松的亲本。
【Abstract】 year results of a provenance test of Caribbean pine in Leizhou peninsula at Zhanjiang Forestry Tree Improvement Farm planted in July 1984 in tropical coastal lowland of Guangdong are reported. The test had 9 sources of PCC,PCB ,PCH and a local PEE as a control. The 20-year results showed that in the tropical and southern subtropical coastal lowland PCC is the most suitable species for pulp and construction wood production and its wood density is higher than the two other Caribbean varieties. PCC has excellent survival, stem straightness, wind-firmness, fast growing and pest resistant. It can grow well on the infertile coastal sandy and laterite soil. The best seed sources of PCC from local Zhanjiang Forestry Tree Improvement Farm could be used in the operational forestry. Because it grows better than the other 2 natural seed sources from Cuba. The poorer survival (20-year 19%) of PCH was due to greater damage by typhoon, tip moth and brown needle disease. PCH could be planted more successfully in the inland part of this region. There are significant differences between 5 seed sources of PCH. Poptun seed source performs better than the other 4 seed sources. Its best plus trees could be selected for hybrid pine. PCB has excellent survival, stem straightness and fast growing. It has shallow root system, because it was originated from the Bahama coral island. So it is not a wind-firmness tree. It could be planted on the neutral soil in the inland part of south China. PEE is not suitable for this region. Because PEE grows much slower than the 3 Caribbean pine varieties, although it has high survival, excellent straightness, wind-firmness and higher wood density. It could be used as parents of hybrids with Caribbean pine. ;
