【Abstract】 A new inhibitory spectrophotometric determination of trace thiosulfate has been developed. It is based on the oxidizing discoloration reaction between crystal violet and hydrogen peroxide on heating and in the medium of pH=5.0～6.0. Beer’s law is obeyed in the range of 4.5×10 -5 to 4.5×10 -4 g/L and the detection limit for S 2O 2- 3 is 3.2×10 -6 g/L. The method has been applied to the determination of S 2O 2- 3 in the wasted fixing solution with satisfactory result.更多还原
