【Abstract】 The features of vast distributed dynamic information on Web caused the problem of "overload" and "mislead" while query. Intelligent agent is a way to solve it. An intelligent agent named CIRs for Chinese information retrieval on internet characterized by intelligent and active search is presented. By means of learning from the user’s everyday documents and interactions with the user, the system can guess the requests of a user and thus set up a basic requirement model for a certain user.
