【Abstract】 In Chuxiong region, Yunnnan Province, a strong earthquake with the magnitude of 6 5 occurred in Wunding County in 1995 and another one with the same magnitude occurred in Yao’an County in 2000.Taking these two earthquakes as the samples, the precursory differences between grouped strong earthquakes and the single strong earthquake are studied.The results show that the foreshock activity, earthquake sequence, grouped precursor anomaly and the boundary dynamic condition will have distinctive variations in different areas such as far-source area, near-source area and the focal area.These variations are significant in the practice of discriminating grouped strong earthquakes and single strong earthquake and in the prediction of succeeding strong earthquakes.更多还原
