【Abstract】 DENG Xiao-ping’s thinking for the peasants to shake off poverty and attain prosperity evolves around the theoretical premise of eliminating poverty. It consists of three interrelated parts: the theory for the peasants to shake off poverty, the theory for the peasants to become prosperous and the theory to assist the poor peasants. His theory to shake off poverty elucidates the conditions, significance and the ways for the peasants to banish poverty. His theory to become prosperous discusses the nature, the methods, the road and the guarantees for the peasants to move towards well-off conditions.
