【Abstract】 According to the function requirement of Remote Automatic Meter Reading (RAMR) in small hydropower plant, a scheme of RAMR system based on Modem is presented. Caller ID and Modem technology are integrated in this system,. The special telephone line is not required for this system and the telephone can be almost used normally by user.
