This paper indicates that the condenser cone termination of HV cables has the capacity to force the stress to distribute evenly along the longitudinal axis. In the optimized design of cable accessories, the stress distribution of a 110 kV condenser cone termination of power cable with 36-layered suspended electrodes was calculated using the FEM method.
