【Abstract】 The progress of telecommunications in the next decade will be characterized by the convergence towards an IP-based core network providing ubiquitous seamless access in an hierarchical and hybrid self-organizing network environment. The key to facilitate this convergence on the access side is the Reconfigurable Software Defined Radio (SDR) equipment.
