【Abstract】 At present, research on WebGIS’s application has become a new topic in GIS fields. This article analyses the architecture, the specialty, and the information’s transmit mechanisms of the ArcIMS 4.0,which is a new generation map service platform; using ASP technique, the literature database system about China′s coastal zone which can be queried on net was established by combining the platform of ArcIMS 4.0 with the technology of JSP for the realization of relation query between literature’s data and spatial data about China′ main sea sectors; and the successful implementation of the project provided scientific basis for both research on and application to WebGIS fields, meanwhile a new way for publishing spatial data and attribute data was provided.更多还原
