【Abstract】 Neo - Confucianism in the Northern Song Dynasty is different from Confucianism in the Han and Tang dynasties. It emphasizes the elucidation of universal truth and advocates the study in this regard. Its development then, of course, greatly differs from the fixed rationalism after, and shows strikingly epochal features.
