【Abstract】 Contrastive Linguistics”,also termed as Contrastive Analysis (CA),is a systematic comparison of the linguistic systems of two or more languages. This article starts with an inquiry into the original aims of contrastive analysis and then probes into the various aspects of analysis and the criticism leveled at it.
