【Abstract】 The article analyzes the canses of Willy Loman’s death.On the surface,Willy killed himself because of his oldness,of the shock from his being fired by his boss and his son’s failure in business.While at deep level, social factors play a larger part in his death.Willy was helplessly exposed to an era during which everyone strived to become rich overnight at any cost.The evil social trend implanted in Willy some wrong beliefs that unavoidably led to his failure,and the brutal competition destroyed the merits of early Americans that Willy had inherited.更多还原
