【Abstract】 Oil spills devastate the natural environment,endanger public health,imperil drinking water and disrupt the economy. Mechanical recovery of oil from the spilled areas by oil sorbents is one of the most important countermeasures in marine oil spill response. Nonwoven oil sorbents offer structu-rally important characteristics of small pore structures and the strength which enables the sorbent materials to be used in some tough conditions. The integrity of nonwoven sorbents also lowers the costs of deployment and retrieval in oil spill response. The combination of new materials and processing technologies will bring new products into this market.更多还原
