【Abstract】 The moderate bicycle traffic and the inducing measures are important issues of urban traffic. The paper analyzes the traffic characteristic of urban bicycles and the main factors having influence on the population and use of bicycle, and points out the problems of bicycle traffic in urban areas. At last, the counter measures of inducing and controlling the use of bicycles in urban areas are put forward based on the economic and traffic situation of Beijing according to the traffic demand measures.
