【摘要】 文化是人类社会赖以生存和发展的基础 ,人的物质生活和精神生活始终发生在特定的文化氛围中 ,文化无所不存 ,也无所不在。文化与语言是密不可分的 ,是天然形成的 ,语言是文化的载体和表现形式 ,语言还受文化的制约。因此 ,作为两种高度发达的语言 ,英语和汉语都有大量极具本民族特色的习语 ,反映出极其丰厚凝重的文化底蕴。本文着重从英汉两种习语的对比中来阐述中西方文化的差异 ,反之 ,又分析了文化差异对沿袭来的习语的影响。更多还原

【Abstract】 The development of mankind and society depends on their own culture, which is everywhere in a certain community. Furthermore, language is the bearer and expression of culture and it is also determined by culture. Therefore, as two well-developed languages, both English and Chinese have a great number of idioms, which may not only possess their own nation’s characteristic but also reflect their dignified culture. This paper is attempted to explain the differences between Chinese and western culture through the comparison between Chinese and English idioms and vice versa.更多还原
