【摘要】 T .S艾略特是西方现代派诗歌中最重要、最具代表性的诗人 ,是现代英美诗歌中开创一代诗风的先驱 ;而威廉姆·布莱克仅被他自己的时代认定为“疯子”诗人 ,直至本世纪 40、5 0年代 ,他在西方文学史上的地位才得以被全面认识。笔者通过仔细研读两诗人的大量诗作 ,发现布莱克预言式的写作风格———主要在意象运用方面———在艾略特的作品中极为明显 ,具体表现为三个特征 :一、意象运用的复杂性 ;二、意象运用的新颖性 ;三、意象运用富有宗教色彩更多还原

【Abstract】 T.S Eliot,one of the most influential poets in Western modernism poetry, who ushers a new literary style.William Blake,was dubbed “a crazy poet”in his age. Until 1940s or 1950s, he has been overall recognized.However,by close scrutiny,the writer finds a lots facts revealing the possible inheritance between the two. And Blake’s prophetic writing style in imagery exploitation is easily observed in the works of Eliot. Specifically, it has three features:the complexity, the novelty, religious flavor of imagery.更多还原
