【Abstract】 It is proved that performance of maximal ratio combining with correlated diversity branches is optimal. In this paper, authors point out the performance of an equivalent diversity system with independent and unbalanced inputs, and verify that probability density function(PDF) of maximal ratio combining with correlated Rayleigh branches is identical to weighting the PDF of maximal ratio combining with individual Rayleigh branch.
