Through on-the-sport investigation on sports equipment in rural middle schools of northeast Hunan Province, the paper finds out the main factors affecting their allocation and puts forward ways to improve the condition. It provides an objective evidence for the educational ministry and PE administering department to lay down principles for the PE development of rural middle schools.
