【Abstract】 This paper reports the backgrounds and main results of two international mathematics classroom video studies. The findings are that teaching is a cultural activity, and teachings in different countries share some elements while the emphasis and organization of these elements are different. There is no unified model of teaching which can enhance students’ high scores in international achievement tests. Finally, the author discusses the implication of the study of mathematics education in China.更多还原
