The qualitative error analysis of the mechanical navigation system was implement ed using Taylor series expansion method after introduction of the syst em characters. The accuracy and effectiveness of this method were expressed by t he compare results of qualitative analysis with specific experiment test of comp uter-assisted distal locking system of intramedullary nail . The idea of this method can be used as a reliable basis for designing and optimizing the same kind of system .
