【Abstract】 Sidi in the Song Dynasty was means of exchange of presents between the diplomatic envoys and the officials who received them. It played an important part in diplomatic interaction.The two Song Dynasties had a strict management of Sidi and forbad private trade of diplomatic officials on their mission or while receiving envoys.
