【Abstract】 Working quality of internal combustion engines puts forward the rigorous requirements for piston materials, and practicable piston materials from cast iron and aluminum alloy to ceramics and carboncarbon composites get on intimate terms with foundry production. In this paper, it was introduced that roundly the actualities of applications and developments for piston materials in internal combustion engines. And it was indicated that cast iron and aluminum alloy should have still an important role in manufactures of the pistons in the short term, and carboncarbon composites low in cost and high in properties should be the development tendency of piston materials in internal combustion engines on a long view of progress stratagem. 更多还原
