【Abstract】 Active classroom atmosphere contributes to a positive teaching effect. Yet the disturbing present tendency is that many L2 teachers give the priority, instinctively, to "what to teach", thus neglecting the fact that unfavorable classrooms atmosphere also influences the learner’s motivation, concentration and involvement. As teaching is by nature an interactive process which involves not only the teacher’s efforts but also the learner’s cooperation, some psychological knowledge may help a lot.
