【Abstract】 Based on the analysis of the current status of food and rice production in China, and aiming at the trend of ignoring rice production appearing in the new developmental stage of agriculture due to the structural surplus in rice production and the low and decreasing price of rice, the authors brought forward the new concept of Rice Industrial Economy (RIE). In this paper, the attribute, cannotation and essential elements of RIE were expounded. In the meanwhile, the basic train of thought for RIE was established and a series of strategic measures to be taken such as ″ regionalized distribution of rice production″ were proposed in order to develop the RIE for Hunan Province and even for China.更多还原
