【Abstract】 Sivelestat sodium was synthesized from glycine benzyl ester p -toluenesulfonate by condensation with 2-nitrobenzoyl chloride, and reduction to afford N -(2-aminobenzoyl)glycine benzyl ester, followed by condensation with p -pivaloyloxybenzenesulfonyl chloride, debenzylation and salt formation.
