【Abstract】 Mercapto-5-methoxybenzimidazole was synthesized from p-acetaminophenol by methyl- ation, nitration and hydrolysis to give 2-nitro-4-methoxyaniline, which was reduced by hydrazine hydrate using Raney-Ni as catalyst and followed by cyclocondensation with potassium ethyl xanthate in one pot to give the title compound with an overall yield of 69%.更多还原
