Al2O3/TiC纳米复合刀具材料的制备及切削性能研究
Fabrication and Cutting Performance of Al2O3/TiC Nanocomposite Tool Material
【摘要】 采用热压烧结工艺 ,成功制备 Al2 O3/Ti C纳米复合刀具材料。与同组分的微米级刀具材料 ( L T5 5 )相比 ,纳米复合刀具材料的抗弯强度( 1 0 5 0 MPa)和断裂韧性 ( 8.9MPa· m1/2 )有很大提高。切削性能实验表明 ,在连续车削淬火钢和铸铁时 ,纳米复合刀具材料的耐磨性能是 LT5 5的两倍 ,其断续切削淬火钢的能力也大幅度提高。但是 ,当连续车削淬火钢的速度达到 1 60 m/min时 ,纳米复合刀具材料的切削性能反而不如 L T5 5。
【Abstract】 This paper is concerned with the synthesis of nano-composite cutting tool material in the Al 2O 3/TiC system. The material obtained has high relative density, fracture toughness (8 9MPa·m 1/2 ) and flexural strength (1050MPa). Machining tests show that the tool life of nano-composites blades is about twice as much as that of commercial blades of micro-composite (LT55) with the same components under continuous machining hardened steel and cast iron at speed of 60m/min and 156m/min, respectively. However, the cutting performance of nano-composite inserts under machining hardened steel at a speed of 160m/min is lower than that of micro-composite inserts (LT55).
