【Abstract】 This paper presents two approaches of modular product family development: one is based on traditional module and the other is based on flexible module. The flexible module is the basic element in the generalized modular product design. A methodology for modeling product family of generalized modular design is proposed, in which the product matrix and the flexible module matrix are established on the basis of similarity analysis of the module features. Finally, an example of product family modeling in modular hydraulic press design is given.更多还原
