【Abstract】 Holonic Manufacturing System(HMS) has been proposed by the IMS Programme as a solution of next generation manufacturing system. It is characterized with distributed control structure, autonomous yet cooperative basic construction elements - holons. In this paper, the basic definitions about HMS are given and the comparisons of HMS with CIM are made, then a review of HMS research results published to date is presented. Further research directions given in literatures are also provided at the end of the paper.更多还原
