【Abstract】 Since information technology is more and more popular in enterprises, the functionality of the object coding has been switched from classification to identification. Therefore, a new object coding model which makes engineers access product resources more efficiently was put forward based on the requirements come from PDM implementation in an air compressor manufacturer. This model has been mapped to a logical model using UML which can be viewed as a reference model for automatic object coding in an information management system. A case study was also discussed to prove the commonality and flexibility of the model.更多还原
