【摘要】 有关称谓语的研究由来已久。但不论是西方学者,还是汉语语言学家都侧重对各自语言中的称谓体系的研究和概括,并认为称谓语不仅具有一定的语义特点,而且还具有一些普遍的语用功能。本文从跨文化交际的角度,对英汉称谓语所含的普遍语用功能进行比较,认为英汉称谓体系存在较大差异,即便在语用功能方面可能具有某些共通的作用,但在表达方式和实际使用等方面的差异十分明显。因此,在翻译过程中,只能根据一定的语境和上下文来确定其语用含义,立足于等效交际价值的实现。更多还原

【Abstract】 The study of vocatives has a long history both in the West and in China. But most of the prevailing approaches merely focus on the systems and generalizations of vocatives in different languages sharing the viewpoint that vocatives not only have certain semantic features but perform some universal pragmatic functions. From cross-cultural point of view, this paper makes a comparison between these pragmatic functions in English and Chinese and demonstrates that the vocative systems in English and Chinese are quite different and that the differences in expressions and practical uses of vocatives are very obvious even if some common functions can be identified in pragmatic meaning. Therefore, in translating them, we need to determine the pragmatic meanings in their contexts so as to realize the equivalent communicative value.更多还原
