【Abstract】 The appearance and development of punitive damages have their deep theoretical root and reflect the needs of times. In law of torts, punitive damages is the natural result of the interactions of the fundamental functions of torts. This article, from the angle of function evolvement of law of torts, argues the importance of the application of punitive damages in tort law, and brings forward some legal suggestions to the improvement of punitive damages in our country with reference to the experience of other countries.更多还原
