【Abstract】 Economical, effective and practical strategy of testing and maintenance of power equipment is very important for the safe operation and economical benefit of power system, especially in the market economy now. This paper introduces briefly some statistical analysis and viewpoint abroad recently, i.e. strategy of maintenance, innovation of strategy, choice of testing and maintenance items and consideration of risk level.
