【Abstract】 On the basis of my experience in teaching Chinese for special purposes, I discuss in this paper the following four questions and present my reflections on them: (1) the implications of ESP ideas for language teaching in general; (2) the positive and negative effects of communicative strategies and corresponding teaching strategies; (3) the interference of different thinking modes in language input; and (4) the discrepancy between the situations anticipated in textbooks and the use of language in reality.更多还原
