【Abstract】 A series of 3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-1,8-dioxo-9-aryl-10-(4-methylphenyl)-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10-decahydroacridines (4) have been synthesized from aromatic aldehydes, 5,5-dimethyl- 1,3-cyclohexanedione (dimedone) and p-toluidine in ethyleneglycol under microwave irradiation.
