【Abstract】 The nucleophilic reaction of bis-cyclic polyhydroxy quinonoid compounds, such as β,β-dimethylacrylalkannin, with secondary amines, and the oxidative-Michael addition of tris-cyclic polyhydroxy quinonoid compounds, such as alizarin, with nucleophiles, have been investigated.
