【摘要】 20世纪90年代以来,我国城市现代化进程日益加快,城市建设与管理的理论探索和实践应用必须与时俱进。中等城市将是江苏省21世纪上半叶城镇数量增长甚为突出的一种类型,发展中等城市是推进全省城市化进程的重点之一。因此,在当前加快城市化进程的新时期,有必要通过追踪城市发展方针、政策和城市化演进的基本轨迹,来审视和解决中等城市的发展问题;同时,还必须结合人类社会经济发展的时代特征,围绕体制创新,来研究中等城市的专业型、特色型、开放型和区域性发展方向。更多还原

【Abstract】 The progress of urbanization and its’ modernization goes on more and more quickly since 1990’s. Therefore, theoretical research and practical use in the construction and management of cities must advance accordingly. In this paper, the author points out that the quantity of medium-sized cities will increase rapidly utill mid-21th century based on analysis of city’ development policy in China and city-town system planning in Jiangsu province. So it’s a key factor to accelerate Jiangsu’s urbanization by developing medium-sized cities. Furthermore, the author provides some future development trends from the point of view of institution innovation such as specialization, characteristic, open and regionalization of medium-sized cities combined with characteristics of present society and economy development.更多还原
