双包层光纤激光器及其在军事中的应用
Double Cladding Fiber Laser and It’s Application in Military
【摘要】 高功率双包层光纤激光器是国际上新近发展的一种新型固体激光器件,它具有散热面积大、光束质量好、体积紧凑等优点。在简要介绍高功率双包层激光器的原理、特点以及发展现状的基础上,介绍了中科院上海光机所在半导体泵浦技术、光纤耦合技术及光纤激光器方面的主要研究成果;讨论了光纤激光器在军事上的应用,重点分析了光纤激光器作为空间激光武器的可能性;最后给出了实现高功率单模激光输出的技术方案。
【Abstract】 Highpower double cladding fiber laser is a new type of solidstate laser with extensively investigation in the word in recent years. The advantages of fiber laser include larger surface area for heat diffusion, good beam quality and compact structure. In this paper, the fundamental principle, main characteristics and recent progress of fiber laser are reviewed. On this basis, the experimental results of fiber laser with semiconductor laser pumping techmology and fiber coupling technology at Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics are introduced in detail. The application of highpower fiber laser in military, especially, the possibility of fiber laser using as space laser weapon are analyzed. Finally, the methods to get highpower fiber laser with singlemode output are discussed.
